What the add-on can access

Text Cleaner asks Google for two permissions:

• documents.currentonly: read and edit the document the add-on is opened in. It cannot open your other files, your Drive or your email.
• script.container.ui: show its menu and dialogs inside Google Docs.

What happens to your text

The add-on runs on Google Apps Script, Google’s own service. Your text is processed there only to make the changes you ask for. It is not sent to the developer or to any third party, it is not stored after the operation finishes, and it is not logged on purpose.

There are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools in the add-on.

Your Configure settings (which boxes are ticked) are saved in your Google account by Apps Script so they are there next time. They contain no document text.

What Google keeps

Google may keep its usual platform records, such as how many times the add-on ran, under Google’s privacy policy. These do not include your document text.

Support email

If you email support, your address and message are used only to answer you. Please don’t include private document content.
