Why was a paragraph not joined or sorted?

Paragraphs that contain a footnote, image or smart chip are cleaned, but never joined, sorted or removed, so the object stays where it is. Paragraphs with images positioned around the text are left alone completely.

Why can’t I sort this list?

Sorting needs whole paragraphs or one flat list. Nested lists and tables can’t be sorted yet.

Why did two lines not join?

By default only lines that clearly continue a sentence are joined. To join every pair of lines, use Remove paragraph breaks instead.

How do I undo?

Press Ctrl+Z (⌘Z on Mac), or use File → Version history.
